1. An ABFAB magazine poster I stole outside "SEX SHOP HANS" around the corner of school.

2. While in Paris I hated seeing how army print had taken over the streets once again. Then I got back to Holland and what was the first thing I did? I bought the ugliest army print fleece sweater from ZARA from the SALE piles.

3. MY BABIES!!! Although it would have been IDEAL to have had them before Paris, I'm so glad they're finally here. It's so weird how the whole pro active way of dressing for upcoming spring has struck me so drastically; not only my work at school but as well my personal style. I mean, here I am, in army print-camping gear and dying to own a pair of SNEAKERS, which I know I would have probably puked over by just seeing them on someonelse a year ago.

Never say never bitches.

While in Paris we'd work from 9am till 7pm-ish.

We got there, it was dark; we left, it was dark.

With our feet obviously killing us after spending a whole day standing, walking around hanging clothes back and forth (most of the times on heels or some sort of platform), we would get out and try to make something out of our evenings by having dinner in or out of the hotel, drinks, or anythingelse that would give us that extra Paris taste.

No matter what we did, and no matter how tired I felt, everytime I lied in bed I felt like I needed more hours to make that one day feel complete. And not exactly cause I was unsatisfied but mostly over-hyped.

But if I go through all these above I feel soooooooooooooooooooo so happy!

Not only was I once again surrounded by beauty 24/7 but I think I met my lost gay twin brother from NYC who's from Persia but who we asume was my latina sister in a past life. BARDIA BACCARDIA LET'S GO PARTIA IN MY CARDIA AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDIA IT'S NOT HARDIA GET SMARTIA. Sorry, inside work-joke.

Printing right now what just became my new and first business card ever!

Right after my exams earlier...

as if sleeping for only four hours and waiting for a whole day to have a nerve-wracking presentation wasn't enough...

I rushed to my friend's house, Robbe Wieles, who's my hero at the moment! AND! the smart graphic designer responsible for these new shades of "G". Not only do I have a business card I'm dying to rub all over everyone's faces, but also a really good and PRO-looking portfolio and W E B S I T E !

I'm putting my all in this CV+Portfolio since I'll be hunting for an internship while in Paris! so please cross your fingers, toes, whatever twistable limb you might have so I end up somewhere amazing.

As for website, only need to make a couple of decisions about the site before we really make it public, but it's just there, waiting to be chosen! modified and published!

HI LOVERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

I've been so busy

and I think I'll continue to be for the next week but in the best of the ways! FROM PARIS!

That's right, I haven't had time to spread the word around here but The Row invited us both (Suzanne and me) once again to be part of their staff during men's fashion week for their pre-fall 2012. So lots and lots and TONS! of new eye-candy for us not only cause we will have the chance to see their pre-fall /12 before any other french or international costumer, but also because those costumers are the ones coming in and out the showroom the whole day everyday, looking explendid...wearing the REAL DEALS!

This above is a picture of me, during the first official collection-check up at school earlier today for which I needed to have 2 toiles and 1 outfit already completely finished. Once again as much as I'd love to share what these three outfits looked like I think I rather not cause it's some serious IT material, but it's not IT yet.

Tomorrow early in the morning an appointment with BLEND magazine's online editor to give me all sorts of details about how the magazine's blog works cause *drums* yes, I'll be one of their few online contributors from now on. So can't wait to get all the needed info to start rolling!

Afterwards! an unexpected meeting with a dear highschool finnish classmate!!!

Friday dinner with the lovely parents-in-law,

I'm so happy for both, him and Christa van der Meer who's a close and dear school mate of mine. Next year she will go from being a school mate to CLASSmate as she makes a strong comeback from Stockholm, Sweden where she is now living as an exchange student.

Appearantly she's killing it and for what she last told me while being previously for a short amount of time back in Holland, she couldn't be happier of taking the decision to just leave and explore something completely new and out of her comfort zone.

There's nothing that can really beat the power of seeing your people's names on PRINT!
It just makes it all so real.

But holidays this time felt like Gwen Stefani well said it once: the sweet escape.

This is pretty much, more or less the kind of stuff I've been wearing lately, the mood, the hair, THE FEELING.

SO full of love, so rich, so embracing that I'm just sort of numb.

And although I'm extremly sad because Holland did NOT have a white xmas last year, I just couldn't be at a better place right now.

I was so shocked but extremly inspired by knowing that all the footage in each montage wasn't just disposable video material she had lying around in dvd's or something?....she actually has been building each edit out of small video fragments that she recorded with her smart phone and just glued it onto the rest of fragments according to the music.

Simply the art of editing but in a primitive 21st century, cyber-romantic kind of way.

I love how iconic she's become in a matter of seconds. She's just.....UP THERE, untouchable.

I don't know why but the whole message in the video about: "WE BURN SO HARD BUT WE WONT BURN LONG" makes me think so much about the comparissons being made lately in between Lindsay Lohan and Marilyn Monroe, and how Lindsay seems to be obsessed about dying young, iconic and beautiful just like Marilyn did.

But I guess miss Lohan is once again not in the right track, because Lana has become EXACTLY what she could have been.

Sometimes, somethings are just meant to be.

And the Boekhorststraat in The Hague seems to be the upcoming spot where galleries, pop-up stores and all the good vintage in the city feel the need to be placed together at the moment. Last week I passed ZITY ZOO by and the fact that I couldn't really figure out what kind of store this was at first sight, really captivated me into having a second look.

From outside? their pleasantly vintage logotype paired with black and white floor tiles gives a high-class barber shop feeling but once you spot the clothing, shoes, dolls, bags, books and jewelry, it immediatly translates 'antique'.

From inside? clearly vintage, but with a style, taste...a vision. So many vintage stores all around nowadays, popping up by the second, but none of them with these three such extremly relevant qualities.
All we're asking for nowadays is IDENTITY! not replicas.

As the store's sales people let me in so kindly (although they were getting the place ready for an event tomorrow) I realized there were tons of things I would really like to have. Here above some of my favourite items. my ultimate 2 favourites are not here cause I'll be picking them up tomorrow and I'll keep them a secret till then!

ZITY ZOO is hosting a collective shopping evening together with several other vintage and pop-up stores along the Boekhorstsraat tomorrow from 18.00 till 21.00. 20% Discount!!

And all I know is that GIRLS!!!!!!!!!! need to get their groove on these Massimo Dutti pointy nose-studden kitten heels (last time while in Paris, the Prada version of these were aaaaaaaaaall over) and the white Chanel-like faux fur platform extravaganzas! and this is only two pairs out of their small but substancial shoe-collection. Vintage custom clothes by Bersa were hot hot hot too!

As I previously mentioned it!

It only lasted for three whole days, but I'll have three more intensive ones in march when it will be possible to wrap up my design and produce it for collezzioniiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

I loved it.

And as much as I love you all around here, I just don't feel comfortable with sharing the picture of the finished prototype out in the open blogosphere. If there's something I've learnt THE FUCKING HARD WAY in this one year and a half is: do NOT ever EVER spill your ideas before the time's right.

It's sad to honestly and kindly trust people by sharing your world and then be slapped back on the face with your own idea.

Boycotting UV body paint and neon tribal clothing has been pretty much the best party decision I've taken lately!

Probably it's just logic, and I should've known my visual perspective was going to change drastically once the fishes were in their new bowl, but I was so shocked by the mutant size they adquired once in there!!!! they were some sort of river creatures floating on top of the dining table.....

Ok I know whatever.

In any case one of them, Lafayette, started to get full-on-macho on our smallest fish, Pam, in the bowl and so we had to remove him immediately. I thought: either Lafayette gets a heart attack out of anger, or Pam dies earlier while being harrassed. Fucking hell, who would thought fishes could be THIS dramatic?

Anywhore, the round bowl ended up being way more than what I liked to think of as an urban myth and it IS actually harmful for a fish's state of mind. What a pitty, it looks so pretty.

So this is my wardrobe as promised, in unreal mode.

I'm glad I made pictures of it in this state since it never ever looks like this.

I've been fixing the whole second floor of the house in one afternoon. I realised how neglected that whole area had become, but I have to be honest and when I was done with the wardrobe, it felt kinda boring in there!

I also felt so fed up to see so many pieces of clothing that have been in there forever that I never ever wear...so I'm kind of thinking of throwing an indoor garage sale for all my friends who ever felt like snatching my outfits off my body! dress up have cocktails! and why not gather a couple of coins to re-invent part of my wardrobe.

But all in all, it's not even about clothing only...lately I've been wanting to wear sneakers, do something unexpected to my hair and wear motorcycle neon leather jackets! as silly as all that might sound I'm curious of where all this is going to take me.

Does this sound familiar to you? or at least like you've read this around here before?

Most probably that's the reason why Luka (so kindly) asked me to collaborate with her for what was her first fashion photography asignment at school. Teachers liked it, aka she killed it. So I'm not only SO happy for her, but really pleased with the outcome!

The whole shoot was initially meant to be really personal to her as well, and this is why we shot the whole thing in her favourite thrift store in the city, which is not even a block away from her doorstep. The man in the first picture next to me is the spot's owner who was so enthusiastic about this whole thing taking place at his store!

And just in case you care, the Gucci bag I've been wearing lately, was found right there, at that spot, next to that man in the first picture as I turned around in between shots.

I hope it wont be too drastic for all of you my dear holies who enjoy coming around here. I know how sometimes little things like this can make you stop liking something like you used to.

But as for myself, I realised that picture of the pink purple-ish hued white horse didn't have that misty, sad but hopeful vibe to my eyes anymore. And I just felt like pressing 'refresh' and feel somethingelse.

Nevertheless, I'm still mad about horses. I just DIE everytime I see one. This one right here represents a lot of things I love about HOLY and a lot of things I've learnt to do, appreciate and embrace while blogging. My favourite stage of the year.

I love how buildings become endless and the mist plays the roll of those clouds which lie down way too low, amongst people, in a city where the sun never shines.

Through the mist, you experience visual things so graphically, in a way you'd never seen or imagined.

A beautiful moment I thought I needed to share with everyone.

Recorded at school while drawing. The high and far away melancholic tone of this melody drew me towards the window. When I finally found out where the music was coming from there they were.

This average middle-aged man, well dressed, with a mega-phone hanging from his shoulder, dancing and happily interacting for and with this homeless man. He, the homeless, is most of the times the one performing and playing music for whomever passes by. I had never ever seen him do anythingelse than play his little drums non stop while sitting on the sidewalk's ground.

This time, with a smile on his face, I guess he felt taken in count. Visible.

Last wednesday I headed off to Rotterdam with only a dreamy silhouette polaroid at the back of my head and no clue of what to expect from my friends Robin & Rabin's new exhibition.

The atmosphere was quiete but not dull.
Dreamy yet not melancholic.
Dark but not negative.

To Kate Bush's divine voice, was pleasant to wander around what they call their collage and starting point for their upcoming collection. T-shirts, dresses, robes made out of fishnets with a subtle pearl appliqué here and there were displayed as rough skeletons, the back bone and primary steps to dive into their design ocean.

But like every other exhibition, drinks and social interaction is KEY! and craved for by people like me.
Laura George and Maylita had this perfectly covered with delish vodka cocktails made out of natural ingredients from spices, seeds to flowers AND this little stick you would get in your glass which I kept sucking on thinking it was a straw. That's how many cocktails I had just so you have an idea.

Anyhow I'm extremly curious for what this wave of abstraction might have to offer.

I just got Kate Bush's new album "50 Words for Snow".

I'm not even pass the third song and I'm already uneasy in excitement. Her first song, "Snowflake" killed me. 09:48 minutes of intensity and honesty. At some point I felt like: ok and NOW it will burst into sadness....and yet she always manages to ease this feeling and insert hope and warmth right back.

Lucci's b-day is upcoming monday, and since I would normally need to go to school then, I decided to spend the weekend with her and my parents.

Yesterday the week began once again and the 4th years from the fashion department were finally back from their internships. Charlotte, my dear, was back as well and not exactly empty handed!

With her she had this gorge creamy pyhton print t-shirt for me since my birthday just passed us by AND I LOV ET.

JAW-DROPING NIGHT!!!!!!!

That's all I'm saying. If you were there, you probably know what I'm talking about. If you weren't, you're only a couple of clicks away from knowing what I'm talking about.

Was so joyful to have the fashion pack over in The Hague; for once WE were the ones on our bikes to the event and the rest came by train and car and god knows whatelse from wherelse. I had an amazing time with Ivania who made it _just_ on time due to someone who had just jumped in front of the train she happened to be travelling in............................I know......insanity.

Although she had to rush back to the station right after the show, we had so much fun, sitting next to each other and freely commenting on whatever we saw rigth in front of us.

We were surprisingly rocking the same hair-do which not only was quite hot amongst the crowd but also happened to be rocked down the runway aswell by the models!...I can still see myself in front of the computer half an hour before getting there, watching Ivania's tutorial on how to get the perfect slick back hair.

I hope the official event photos will be released soon! cause we got caught entering the event, laughing and even posing a couple of times for their lenses so I'm curious if I managed to keep it together till the end or if I just look like the usual happy drunkie!

Last night Lucci left to Amsterdam for what might have been her first night out, in another city, by herself. So exciting! I can still remember the first time I went out 4real!

She's been invited by a couple of 15 y/o chicks from her tumblr network of cyberfriends whom all happen to have blogs you wish you could come up with.

For all this I styled her for the big night and this femme version of Snoop Dog is what came out. It's funny cause the whole outfit ended up having a heavy ghetto vibe but you couldn't really point out what it was. MUST BE HER SWAAAAAAAAG.

She said her outfit literally killed it, and she hasn't slept till this very moment so I can't wait for her to get back with all the details.

The first pic in this post is actually the first pic I took with the new memory stick. I don't think I had ever been this excited about such a small piece of plastic. You can actually see my desperation on how I repeatedly tried to open the package...and then I repeatedly failed, so I had to ask the security guy for scissors cause once I started to bite the package I knew I needed help.

OH! and this coat BTW!...was an oldie I had stored in my wardrobe, which sort of became that piece you look at and you're always like: YES! THIS ONE!,and then you put it on and you're like:....nope. I was trying to resemble a full-length double-breasted ACNE gray woolen coat from a season ago but instead it was always just 80's mom.

Today I grabbed it again, I shook it and asked it: WHY WONT YOU WORK?!?!?!? and then, really silently it pointed out with it's eyes to my belts....and whispered: ...tie me up.

SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is something that probably only my dutch viewers can get to understand....or probably not even.

But a small intro for the internationals: This girl calls herself 'Barbie', and judging by what I saw personally tonight, SHE TRULLY IS. She is one of the main and loveliest members of the dutch version of Jersey Shore which was launched not long after the americans and the whole world was practically shouting for MORE!

In person she's actually ten times sweeter and cuter!! she would'nt stop re-touching her make up and brushing her hair right after I asked her on the picture. She was extremly flattered; I think I lost count of the amount of times she smiled back at me while dinner.

Anne invited me over for dinner earlier at school.

Today being the first day back at school after Paris it was nice to see some people had actually missed me; sweet feeling!

We had vegetables soup with these kaassoufle-wannabe broodjes, tea, annnnnnnd a deliciously expensive cheese Eric brought over.

I got this GORGE jacket from her, it fits me perfectly. The cat's face keeps on coming everytime on the print, it sort of makes me happy. I thought I'd name it the COOLCAT jacket.

In the picture here above I was trying to pick her rabbit Loui up to get on the picture with him but the idiot started kicking (this is why I hate rabbits). Nevertheless Loui must be the first rabbit I met that I liked; the moment I walked in the room, he wanted to get my attention and to try to finally get it he started running around me in circles...SO COOL was some sort of "breaking the ice" dance. He also climbs up chairs, TABLES, drinks tea, coffee, or whatever it is you're drinking, mostly if you left your cup just lying around. He also loves to chew on clothes and beautiful leather bags such as mine so that's a NO NO. Other than that, I liked how vicious and ambitious he was.

Finally a rabbit with an identity.

Somehow at some point we ended up talking about Patti Smith and so the evening ended with her beautiful face on this which I've repeatedly watched I don't know how many times. A BEING OF LIGHT.

BACK IN HOLLAND; THE BUBBLE PLEASANTLY BREAKS.

I arrived home not more than an hour ago and for the first time I'm so glad to be back! to be in my house, in The Hague and get rolling with school again.

I mean don't get me wrong, I've always loved coming back in a way but the feeling is just so different if you've been working abroad or just strolling down the streets of Paris for a whole day, everyday.

I'm still broken down, and didn't get much sleep in the train; my thoughts were rambling in between things I HAVE to do and things I really WANT to do in these upcoming weeks. One way or the other it's all gonna be fine as long as I can balance fun and responsability at the same time.

The picture above was probably the second and last picture that has been saved from the whole trip. My bf took it with his iphone and therefore I was so extremly happy to still be able to see something of these amazing nights full of colour we spent in french ground after a whole day of just BLACK.

So this was the feeling; the color scheme. You picture the rest!

FUCKING CATASTROPHE.

So as some of you might've already read around here, my plan for these 10 days in Paris was to document my everyday experiences from, the showroom where I'm working at, the fully black outfits to the "All Out" evening outfits and just things and people in general I saw around.

But yesterday as we had a bite somewhere near the Crowne Plaza where we're staying at the moment, I decided to go to the WC and change into something more fun for at night. As I took everything out of my bag, I forgot my camera behind and went away.

Not long after I realized I didn't have it with me anymore, I rushed back and weird enough, the camera had been found but the memory card had been taken out...WHO DOES THAT???

It would've been way more reasonable if the person who found it might've stolen the camera and left the memory card behind, but why the other way around? what is she/he going to do with all my photos? MY PARIS DAILY ISSUE?!?!?!..probably we're talking about some geek who works with computers and thought the memory card would come in handy. Other than this I cannot think of any other reason why someone would do this.

So last night I've been EXTREMLY bummed cause I had made amazing pictures around here and was DYING to show them to all of you around here. I also regret a THOUSAND times to not have made the effort to go to a Starbucks or Mc Donalds everyday for half an hour to update through their WiFi since I DID have constant access to internet at the showroom but I just couldn't "blog" while working if you get what I mean...not really appropriate.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK.

I'm going back later anyway, I don't really know if it'll help, but who knows, maybe this person went through my pictures and thought: GEEZ what a freak, he must REALLY like himself, and making photos of random shit, and he or she will give it back.

This picture above was taken on the third day in Paris, after going out and have slept for one hour only since I could have slept for two, but one of them went to blogging them amazing pictures in celebrity heaven. This is the only one I had left after I worked on it on photoshop 2 days ago as I tried to blog in between working and didn't succeed to finish the post. SO ENJOY!

Somehow I took these some weeks ago and only posted them on VIUTIFUL.

1. A gift from my dear friend and classmate Stephany. I love how unusual the fabrics choice in this shirt is and the placement of the zipper makes it even more quirky. It's also quite amazing to not have a fully synthetic chiffon shirt (which btw are not welcome in my wardrobe anymore) because this one in fact is mainly viscose with a small synthetic percentage; it just feels waaaaaaay nicer.

2. An ex-shirt of my bf which shrank when he first washed it and then ripped at the back while he had it on once after that first wash. So I inherited the shirt naturally but I still had to fix the back, which I thought was quite a pitty since I liked how the shirt had been accidentally ripped...so I just made more holes in silly places and now I get to look tuff and showy sometimes when I feel like it.

How do you guys (girls and boys, but I want to know mainly boys) feel about the "unusual showy" or unexpectedly revealed skin areas on clothes? mainly on t-shirts? I'm planning on making a serie of tees with these sort of showy areas...not like ripped holes, but well thought of cut offs...

I know most girls like to show some skin now and then, here and there...and I quite enjoy it too, but I don't know how the rest of boys feel about it? so boys hit me up!

So today I woke up and I had so many lovely plans of the things I could do that I've been postponing for sometime.

Mostly after the BEAUTY AND THE GEESE post I've felt even more obliged...no NOT obliged but MOTIVATED to do things I could post around here to show to the people who left such sweet comments! like the ANONYMOUS kids and Vince, Andrew and Raisa; but somehow the universe, planets and stars having an influence on me today were not really in the same line as me.

THE DAY AS IT WENT:
woke up at 11......................the weather was amazing btw.
had brunch with bf at Scallywags
went to the Gemeeente Museum to check out the Mode "loves" Kunst (Fashion loves Art) exhibition.
had drinks at the photography museum right next to it.
went to 1646, internship arranged!
then back home
then off for dinner at Vapiano with Irri and bf...was delish!
then back home again + more drinks!

I only hate that most of the things I wanted to do today were photo related and I realised right in the morning when I wanted to make my daily outfit picture that I had left my camera at the restaurant where I just started working at! so I've seen amazing things since the moment I woke up, here at home right across the water, till the time I've been in town eating and having drinks at different spots!

Thank god for the iphone generation and my bf who has one, so I managed to make some shots still of some stuff I saw. The two photos here above where things I saw and took a picture of right after I got my camera back.

Gosh I feel like such a good blogger! I'm actually making a post with content taken EARLIER and not days or weeks ago. Still here I am blogging an older lady who likes to feed the geese extremly early in the morning and shouts at them once in a while if them damn birds get greedy....uuuhm yes.

And right under, the look of the day, Gipsy woman meets leather jacket and chelsea boots. And no, it's not a skirt I'm wearing, at least not this time BUT really wide leg pleated trousers.

My first year dream has finally come true.

I've looked forward making my third year ethnic costume since the first day at the academy.

The time has come, and all I have is a lot of Lola Beltran playing in my head, Tehuantepec, visions of colorful exotic headdresses, wild animals as pets, wearing heavy velvet hand-embroidered skirts under 35 degrees, golden coins as jewelry and thinking of Frida.

Lately I've wondered a lot about the kind of information you don't find in books about her; her favourite music, her favourite spot in the house, favourite fruit, what she liked to drink, what she sounded like while singing? what enraged her the most? what she loved the most in life? her jokes, her cry...

I had a delightful evening last friday with the lovely Charlez here displayed in dyeing mode.

We dined, wined, talked talked talked, LAUGHED, smoked, and DREAMT. The ussual.

Next day, brunched. And saw these other two images from the place where we were sitting. Two very inspiring men I keep on running into everytime I seat in this very same spot.

Right now I'm just so excited about third year of school I could explode. It feels better than right.
