BEAUTY AND THE GEESE.

BERLIN; THE LOST FILES.

I LOVE THIS.

THIS SENTENCE.

PENSANDO EN ELLA; THINKING OF HER.

The time has come, and all I have is a lot of Lola Beltran playing in my head, Tehuantepec, visions of colorful exotic headdresses, wild animals as pets, wearing heavy velvet hand-embroidered skirts under 35 degrees, golden coins as jewelry and thinking of Frida.

Lately I've wondered a lot about the kind of information you don't find in books about her; her favourite music, her favourite spot in the house, favourite fruit, what she liked to drink, what she sounded like while singing? what enraged her the most? what she loved the most in life? her jokes, her cry...

My boyfriend linked me some days ago to something that came in quite handy to this feeling:

"I used to think I was the strangest person in the world, but then I thought, there are so many people in the world; there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me, too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true, I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.”

-Frida Kahlo.

PROTEST HAIR.

PERFECT AND FORGOTTEN.

They were just there, waiting for me to take their picture under this perfectly dramatic lighting.
I've been going through my archive and I realized how many pictures of mannequins I've taken this far. It's become some sort of weakness, a soft spot for these melancholic looking faces, who just stand there with perfect sizes and noses, still full of nothing.

BRUTALLY GEZELLIG.

I bet my life this was a first year.

And as we all know, the first year of everything is harsh and brutal.

Bless all of them, god knows I wouldn't like to go back there.
